5 Tips To Balance Your Hormones From Our Trusted Expert Melissa Ramos

Hormones are the chemical messengers in our body that travels throughout the body. They are responsible for regulating and influencing the function of our organs, cells, skin, and other tissues. When our hormones are out of balance, health conditions can slowly manifest if they are left untreated.

Here are a few tips on ways to balance out your hormones from our trusted partner and expert, Melissa Ramos, who is a nutritionist with a background in Chinese medicine. Read below to find an exclusive offer from Melissa's program, Sexy Lady Balls, which aims to help women take control of their health and hormones.

1. Utilize Essential Oils

Certain essential oils have been found to provide a positive impact on the body and aids in our hormone balance.

Essential oils may be applied aromatically or topically. Here are some of Melissa's favorite and recommended oils to use to help balance hormones:

  • Cypress
  • Tumeric
  • Chamber
  • Lemongrass
  • Clary Calm
  • Frankincense

2. Set Boundaries

Stress is one of the leading factors in disrupting our health and can put our hormones out of balance. When we don't manage our stress levels, our brain will develop an excessive amount of cortisol, which can lead to negative impacts on the body.

Sometimes stress can occur from dealing with a family member or close friend. It may be that we're constantly helping them, but they don't realize or show any appreciation for our help.

In these scenarios, one of the best thing you can do is to take a step back and start setting boundaries with these individuals.

3. Add Beef Heart To Your Diet

Beef heart may sound unappealing for some, but it actually contains a ton of nutrients that we wouldn't otherwise get from our typical cuts of beef or poultry. Beef heart is densely packed with B-vitamins, which plays an essential role in regulating our hormones. It also affects our mood, sleep, energy, and immune system.

Check out Melissa's blog post for a simple and delicious recipe on cooking beef heart.

4. Get Quality Sleep

We all know how important sleep is, but many of us are lacking in high quality sleep. Some of the reasons we have trouble sleeping is due to our day and age with technology and the ongoing demands of a fast-pace environment.

Having quality sleep isn't just about getting to bed and having at least 7 hours of rest. It's just as important to wake up properly and setting your circadian rhythm. Once our body wakes up from a night's rest, it's important to expose ourselves to bright lights to help set our circadian rhythm and to tell our brain that it's time to start the day. As the evening comes and it's near bedtime, it's best to dim our lights eliminate as much blue light to tell our brain to go into a resting state.

It should be noted that blue light isn't entirely bad for us. However, most of us are constantly exposed to our smart phones and other technology that constantly projects blue light. Blue light is essential during the day to keep us alert, but it's disruptive in the evening as it suppresses serotonin and melatonin, which are important chemicals in helping us sleep.

5. Expose Your Body To Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that delivers concentrated red and near-infrared light to your cells. It's properties drive mitochondrial function, blood circulation, and reduces oxidative stress.

These mechanisms work together to provide various full-body health benefits including:

  • Thyroid function
  • Hair Growth
  • Sleep and Circadian Rhythm
  • and Mental Acuity
